Hi , I’m Chelsea the founder of Stride.


I’m a Kiwi who relocated to Edinburgh and realised super quickly how hard it can be to meet people in a new country. Then a year after I arrived, the pandemic began.


I saw more than ever how important social connection really is. And in a world that suddenly meant working from home every day, I knew I needed to do something to help me combat my ever increasingly-digital world.


That’s why I started Stride. I believe exercise, social connection and mental health go hand-in-hand. 1 in 4 adults don’t exercise as much as they should. On top of that we are facing a loneliness epidemic and mental health issues are on the rise.


With Stride, I want to utilize technology to help people move more, build in person connections and feel better for it.
